“Queen of Tears” lead actors Kim Soo-hyun x Kim Ji-won will not conduct wrap-up interview

tvN’s Saturday-Sunday drama “Queen of Tears” depicts the dizzying crisis and miraculous rekindling of love between Hong Hae-in (played by Kim Ji-won), a third-generation chaebol heiress of Queens Group, and Baek Hyun-woo (played by Kim Soo-hyun), the son of farmers from Yongdu-ri, and their three years of marriage.

This work is a collaboration between writer Park Ji-eun, who recorded the highest rating in tvN drama history, director Jang Young-woo of “Bulgasal: Immortal Souls” and director Kim Hee-won of “Vincenzo” and “Little Women”. It achieved its highest rating of 21.6% in the 14th episode airing on April 21st, setting a record as the second-highest rating in tvN drama history.

It was just 0.1% behind the first place “Crash Landing on You”. Due to this syndrome-like craze, the second after-show party will be held on April 27th.

Many actors such as Kim Kap-soo, Lee Joo-bin, Park Sung-hoon and Kwak Dong-yeon will participate in the wrap-up interview.

However, it is regrettable that the lead actors of “Queen of Tears”, Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Ji-won, will not be participating in the wrap-up interview.

Both Kim Soo-hyun’s agency Gold Medalist and Kim Ji-won’s agency HighZium Studio cited “difficulty in coordinating schedules” as the reason for not participating in the interview. They explained that despite discussions to make arrangements due to the overwhelming love received, it became difficult due to scheduling issues. In fact, both agencies had recently stated that discussions were ongoing. Not being able to hear about the actors’ chemistry and behind-the-scenes stories leaves a sense of regret.

Meanwhile, “Queen of Tears” will conclude with its 16th episode on April 28th. The broadcast time on April 27th and 28th has been moved up by 10 minutes to 9:10 PM. Special broadcasts of the drama have also been confirmed due to its popularity.
