Moon Sua’s Emotional Tribute to Late Moonbin at Billlie’s First Fan Concert
Moon Sua mentioned the late Moonbin, her older brother, at Billlie’s first fan concert after her return to activities
On May 4th, Billlie held their first full-group fan concert ‘Your B, I’m B (Belllie’ve You)’ at the Myeonghwa Live Hall in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul.
This fan concert marked Billlie’s first solo concert in Korea since their debut in 2021. Anticipation was high for the full-group stage following Moon Sua and Suhyeon’s return to activities.
At the end of the fan concert, Billlie performed the song ‘DANG!’ for the first time with all seven members. After the performance, the youngest member Haruna expressed her gratitude, saying, “I’m happy to perform on stage with seven members. While two members were on break, other unnies must have been anxious and worried, so I’m thankful for their return.”
Moon Sua, who performed ‘DANG!’ for the first time with all members, said, “I’m very grateful to the members. They took good care of Billlie while I was resting, and watching the members’ performances gave me strength. It’s an honor to stand on stage at the fan concert with all seven members.”
Especially, Moon Sua said, “This moment feels like a dream. One of my bucket list items was to have a Billlie concert, and it’s meaningful that my first fan concert with all seven members happened after my return. There were many things that happened. That’s why I wanted to show you a performance with a clearer mind, and it was a big goal to do it with all seven members. I’m very grateful to those who came to see us.”
Moon Sua said, “I wanted to show this stage to everyone, but there was someone I really wanted to show it to.” She mentioned the late Moonbin, tears welling up as she spoke. Moon Sua said, “I want to express my gratitude to that person who supported me from afar or very closely, and who gave me strength to smile again in front of you all and to stand on stage with the members. I’ll strive to show a cooler side, so I hope you’ll support me a lot. Please watch over us in the future.”
Moonbin was found dead in his home in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, on April 19, 2023. He was 25 years old. After the news of Moonbin’s passing, Moon Sua had two periods of activity suspension. Focusing on her health recovery during the break, Moon Sua’s health greatly improved on April 12th, and she resumed her activities based on her determination and the advice of healthcare professionals.
