Female Idol Exposed Group Members: Lesbian Relationship and Cheating? (Updated: “Just a Teammate”?)
A female idol claimed that she was dating a fellow group member only for said member to cheat on her with another member.
Recently in early May, Shen Xiaoai, a member of the Chinese idol group SNH48, published a long message, revealing that she dated fellow group member Lu Xinyi but they later broke up.
Being an idol in a conservative nation, dropping her own lesbian relationship is shocking enough, but Shen Xiaoai took things a step further by exposing that her ex-girlfriend cheated on her with another SNH48 member – Wang Yuchen.
In particular, in her post, Shen Xiaoai wrote, “We were together for 2.5 years but she was emotionally cheating towards the end of the relationship”.
According to Shen Xiaoai, Lu Xinyi interacted closely with Wang Yuchen, lied about their relationship with the latter, and didn’t respond to her messages despite talking to Wang Yuchen all day. The female also mentioned that she discovered the affair due to chat logs between Lu Xinyi and Wang Yuchen.
“I saw those pages of lovey-dovey chat logs. All the things you shared with each other from morning until late at night. It was only then I realized I made a clown of myself”, Shen Xiaoai wrote in frustration, before adding that she had “proof” about the cheating.
“Hangzhou is where we celebrated your birthday together, but you took a day off from shows and plan to take her to Hangzhou on the 20th”, “G.E.M.’s concert. You know G.E.M. is my favorite, but you said you’re taking her to watch it”, Shen Xiaoai also left bitter comments, recalling her old memories with Lu Xinyi which are now ruined.
On the other hand, Lu Xinyi has since denied the cheating allegations, stating that “Wang Yuchen is just a teammate”.
