Zheng Shuang was fined $46 million for tax evasion, National Radio and Television Administration of China issued a ban

Zheng Shuang, who once self-claimed to be entirely innocent and not evading taxes, has now been found guilty and sentenced to a severe administrative penalty.

The official statement regarding Zheng Shuang’s tax evasion case was issued this morning, according to the iFeng website. Accordingly, the Shanghai Municipal Taxation Bureau’s inspection section revealed that the actress did not declare 191 million yuan in income from 2019 until the present.

Zheng Shuang in particular evaded 45,269 million yuan in taxes and 25,520 million yuan in other taxes. Zheng Shuang was penalized 299 million yuan under the legislation. Currently, the actress has paid the whole amount of 299 million yuan as well as additional costs within the time frameset.

Among them, at the time of filming the movie ‘A Chinese Ghost Story’, Zheng Shuang received an exact amount of 156 million yuan but did not declare the tax truthfully. She evaded the payment of 43,027 million yuan.

Zhang Heng – Zheng Shuang’s representative and ex-boyfriend will also be investigated for suspicion of being related to the actress’ tax evasion issue.

In another development, National Radio and Television Administration (the NRTA) officially issued a document to banned Zhang Shuang from having any art activities in the future. In particular, she can never have a second chance to participate in social network contents or any other art products.

TV shows, movies, … that have the participation of Zheng Shuang have to stop broadcasting. At the same time, the NRTA also called for serious handling of artists and related organizations that violate laws and regulations, and resolutely supported the tax department’s decision on the actress’ tax evasion.
