Yu Kkenip revealed that she was a victim of school violence and the reason why she felt distant from her parents
Yu Kkenip: “I was bullied in sophomore year of secondary school… but my parents said ‘You must have done something wrong’.”
On July 27th, Creator Yu Kkenip and rapper Boi B appeared as guests on SBS Plus ‘Love Master’.
While talking about Yu Kkenip’s distant feelings with her mother, she confessed her wounds, saying that “I was bullied when I was young.”
She added, “It was so hard that I told my mom, ‘You must have done something wrong.’, My mom said. After that, I didn’t talk to my mom. Dad had the same reaction. So I didn’t want to try to talk anymore.”.
“Middle school is a very sensitive time in the adolescent years. It must have been an emotionally difficult time.” Hong Hyeon Hee sympathizes.
In response to the question of whether she had talked to the teacher, She said, “The teacher didn’t help much. I was always alone, I would always fall asleep while eating and thinking to myself that ‘I wish that time would pass by faster”.
