YG Entertainment’s iKON, BIGBANG, WINNER, and BLACKPINK have swept the chart and ranked #1 for consecutive weeks at a time.
It’s already the end of the first half of 2018 and so far the most impressive performances in K-pop of the first two quarters were almost completely revealed. It’s no exaggeration to say that YG Entertainment entertainment company that has taken over the K-pop digital music charts in the first half of 2018.
Especially with the recent analysis of OSEN, we can clearly see it. The news website OSEN has published a proprietary article that analyzing what had happened on Melon since Jan 1st till July 5th. OSEN announced that within the first 181 days of 2018, YG Ent’s artists have won the first place in 89 days (which was 47.8% of the total days in the first 6 months of the year).
Obviously, no one can deny the fact that YG has really become the icon of dominance on the Korean music charts in the first half of 2018. Many of the fans are now expecting much more achievements from YG artists in the next months.
