In an interview about HYBE being selected in the TOP 100 Companies, Chairman Bang Si-hyuk said, “Our vision is to become the world’s leading entertainment lifestyle platform, with music as our foundation. We are in a stage where we have expanded the boundaries of our industry itself”, adding, “As HYBE has evolved, it has grown from a small artist incubator into what is called a ‘360-degree business’, in the mode of brands like Disney that own and operate a catalog of intellectual properties (IPs)”.

In addition, Time also cited HYBE’s management structure as the basis for HYBE and BTS’s steady success in the global music market despite the pandemic situation. It has expanded the value chain of the music industry itself, centering on artist IPs, and through this, it has created a company structure that influences the value enhancement of the music industry.

For example, in introducing HYBE’s global fandom platform Weverse, Time emphasized, “Where HYBE has differentiated itself is in investing in technology that makes it possible to stream concerts virtually and own the artist-fan relationship, from ticketing to merchandise shops to live artist broadcasts, shows, and message boards”. announced the launching of Weverse 2.0, which is expected to be more advanced with Naver V Live’s functions integrated, in the first half of this year.
