WINNER will be the next group to join the fan community platform ‘Weverse’.
YG Entertainment said on October 18th, “WINNER will open their Weverse community today. This is a plan for the members to respond to the consistent love of INNER CIRCLE (WINNER’s fandom) and express their gratitude towards fans in a closer distance.”
Weverse is a fan community platform run by a subsidiary of HYBE in which Korean and foreign artists communicate with their fans. Earlier in January, YG and HYBE signed a strategic partnership contract and decided to cooperate in various fields, including platforms, distribution, and content.
YG also expressed their expectations, “Kang Seung-yoon and Song Mino are active in various fields. Meanwhile, Lee Seung-hoon and Kim Jin-woo in serving in the military and will be discharged soon. Therefore, all activities as a whole group are expected to be promoted soon.”
The first solo concerts of Song Mino and Kang Seung-yoon will also sell online tickets through Weverse Shop. WINNER debuted with their first full album “2014 S/S” after the survival show “WIN: Who is Next” in 2013. Apart from their debut song “Empty”, WINNER has released many hits with different genres, such as “REALLY REALLY”, “LOVE ME LOVE ME”, and “MILLIONS”.
Meanwhile, the group is the 4th YG artist, after TREASURE, iKON, BLACKPINK, to join Weverse.
