Why are BTS members not participating in movie projects?

Despite receiving many invitations from filmmakers, BTS’s management company still refused all for one reason.

Usually, after gaining a reputation in Kbiz, idols often step into acting.  However, fans found out that BTS is barely acting.  This makes many people very curious because, with the current group’s popularity, the filmmakers must wish to work with 7 boys.  However, it turned out that the cause was in the following 2 reasons

Their appearance fee is too high

Recently, Korean media revealed V’s shocking appearance fee. Accordingly, His appearance fee is reported to be around ₩200 million (about $177,000). This is considered a very high price compared to the general premises. Although V has only just participated in a movie, Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth, his fee is nearly half of what one of K-Drama’s most in-demand veteran actors, Kim Soo Hyun, is paid per episode.

Their agency gives priority to group activities

Many people believe that the reason V is receiving love calls from numerous K-Drama production companies is because of his handsome appearance that matches both Korean and international taste.  Besides, the popularity of BTS in general and V, in particular, will help the film gain a large audience.

However, at present, BTS’s management company – Big Hit Entertainment (HYBE) still prioritizes group activities, so it is quite difficult for BTS members to participate in filming.  However, fans are still looking forward to the day V can continue his acting career as expected before.

BTS‘s isn’t planning to return to acting any time soon, but many production companies are hoping for his comeback.
