AKMU recounts the behind-the-scenes stories when working with singer IU.
AKMU held an online press conference to celebrate the release of the ‘Next Episode’ album on the 26th. They introduced the album and the preparation process.
The title track of the new album is ‘Falling’. It became a hot topic when known to be featured by IU. Lee Suhyun said, “We deeply thought about how to easily convey the message of this song to the public” and, “I thought of IU, so I called her, and she delightedly agreed.”
Lee Chanhyuk said, “As an artist who has done a lot of recording, she did it skillfully.” and “I was thinking about how to harmonize Suhyun and IU’s vocal colors.”
Suhyun also expressed her grievances towards Chanhyuk and confessed, “When I was recording, Chanhyuk oppa was very strict about directing. There were also sections where it was difficult to record every word”.
But with IU, he turned 180 degrees. “But when IU unnie recorded, he shouted “I like it”. I thought he was surfing Facebook”, Suhyun said, making everyone laugh.
Meanwhile, AKMU released a new album at 6 o’clock on various online sites today. The line-up included not only IU but also Lee Sunhee, Beenzino, Jannabi’s Choi Junghoon, Crush, Sam Kim became a focal point.
