TWICE’s MV ‘I Can’t Stop Me’ has reached 100 million views on Youtube.
The MV of “I Can’t Stop Me” was released on October 26 at 6 p.m. KST and its views increased rapidly. It reached 100 million views at 5:13 a.m. on November 7, which means it took just over 11 days and 11 o’clock to get that milestone.
The previous record for the fastest music video of TWICE to reach this milestone was held by “MORE & MORE” (it took 12 days and 22 hours). Up to now, TWICE has 14 Korean music videos with over 100 million views on YouTube:”Like OOH-AHH,” “Cheer Up,” “TT,” “Knock Knock,” “Signal,” “Likey,” “Heart Shaker,” “What is Love ?,” “Dance the Night Away,” “YES or YES,” “FANCY,” “Feel Special,” and “MORE & MORE”.
It is known that “I Can’t Stop Me” is a retro-style song, the currently trending, and has received much praise from Korean netizens. However, this song did not achieve as good digital achievement as expected. After 24 hours of release, “I Can’t Stop Me” earned only 202k ULs (less than 10k ULs on average per hour). It is an extremely low number for a Kpop girl group, especially a group that has previously been very strong in the digital section like Twice.
Hopefully, in the future, TWICE will return with another hit song, reaffirming their position in the Korean music market.
