The work that served as the background for the production of ENA’s Wednesday-Thursday drama “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” was the movie “Innocent Witness” (2019). “Innocent Witness” was written by writer Moon Ji-won, who wrote the script for “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”.

In “Innocent Witness”, Ji-woo (Kim Hyang-gi), who has autism spectrum disorder, dreamed of becoming a lawyer. In the movie, Ji-woo said, “I probably won’t be a lawyer. Because I have autism.” However, writer Moon realized Ji-woo’s dream 3 years later through Woo Young-woo.

Actor Kim Hak-sun played the presiding judge of both the first trial in which Ji-woo stood as the sole witness of the murder case and the first trial in which Woo Young-woo defended.
