Bae Doona will join the cast of “Rebel Moon”.
It has been reported that Bae Doona will join Jack Snyder’s new work “Rebel Moon.” “Rebel Moon” is a space opera genre that depicts the story of a peaceful colony against the tyrannical Regent Balisarius. Bae Doo-na is planning to appear as a skilled swordsman character.
Bae Doona first entered Hollywood through “Cloud Atlas” in 2012. Since then, she has worked with the Wachowski sisters in a total of three works, including “Jupiter Ascending” and the Netflix series “Sense 8”. As a result, “Rebel Moon” will be Bae Doona’s fourth Hollywood work.
Before that, Bae Doona has appeared in three Japanese films, from the 2005 Japanese movie “Linda Linda Linda” to “Air Doll” and “Chang Ok’s Letter”. It is well-known that the Wachowski sisters contacted Bae Doona directly after watching “Air Doll.”
“Iamhere” is a French movie released in 2020. Last summer, she also finished filming with Director Kore-eda Hirokazu for “Broker” following “Air Doll.” Bae Doona does have a lot of ties with Director Hirokazu Kore-eda.
“Rebel Moon” is already Bae Doona‘s ninth work with an overseas director. Director Jack Snyder is a famous director who has directed works such as “300”, “Watchman”, “Man of Steel”, and “Justice League.”
