There’s no need to worry about BTS’s solo activities

They are still BTS even when they stay together or split up

Contrary to the concerns when BTS announced that they would temporarily suspend group activities for the time being, the members are shining through their solo activities.

The first member to release a solo album, J-Hope has turned on the green light for BTS’s second act and he is receiving positive responses. Released on July 15th, “Jack in the Box” topped the iTunes Top Album Chart in 49 countries and regions on July 16th. On the same day, the title song “Arson” also dominated the No.1 spot in the iTunes Top Album Chart in 62 countries and regions around the world. At the moment, “Arson” and the pre-release song “MORE” are ranking 15th and 13th on Spotify’s Daily Top Song Global Chart, respectively. J-Hope also proved his popularity by having all tracks from “Jack in the Box” listed in the same chart.

With “MORE”, which was released on July 1st, topping the iTunes Top Song Chart, “Jack in the Box” was expected to gain explosive reactions. Since the first solo project of BTS achieved such amazing results, expectations for the release of other members’ solo albums in the future are even higher.

Suga once again confirmed his reputation through the song “That That” collaborating with Psy. He drew huge attention by making a surprise appearance at Psy’s “Summer Swag 2022” concert on July 16th. Released by Psy at the end of April, “That That”, in which Suga participated in producing and featuring, became viral and even ranked No.80 on the U.S Billboard’s Main Single Chart ‘HOT 100’.

As the first time that Psy and Suga two performed “That That” on the stage together, the two’s performance received heated cheers and the loudest shouts from the audience at the concert hall. Fans also posted proof shots and positive reviews on various online communities showing the enthusiastic atmosphere at the concert.

V stole the spotlight at the French fashion show as his first individual schedule after the group activity hiatus announcement. On the 27th of last month, he attended a fashion show of a luxury brand at the Paris Museum of Modern Art ‘Palais de Tokyo’ and made headlines. Together with BLACKPINK’s Lisa and actor Park Bo-gum, the three showed up together and stirred up online communities and the fashion show venue in Paris.

Jungkook has been active by presenting a colloboration with American singer-songwriter Charlie Puth. “Left and Right”, which was released on June 24th, entered the ‘HOT 100’ Chart at No.22, recording the highest performance among songs released by K-pop solo singers since Psy’s “Gentlemen” (2013). Apart from ranking in ‘HOT 100’ for two consecutive weeks, “Left and Right” also stayed in the U.K Official Singles Chart for 3 weeks in a row. In particular, Jungkook and Charlie Puth’s “Left and Right” is still viral with many people participating in the dance challenge of this song on Tiktok.

As BTS members are sweeping the world one after another with their own charm and individual activities, fans are also looking forward to what new aspects the remaining members will show in the future.
