The very first movie cuts of Lee Jong Suk and Cha Eun Woo in navy uniforms for “Decibel” have been released

The upcoming action movie starring Lee Jong Suk, Cha Eun Woo has just released the very first images for their characters.

On October 13th, the production team of “Decibel” unveiled several scene cuts revealing the images of Lee Jong Suk, Kim Rae Won and Cha Eun Woo.

“Decibel” tells about a terrorist attack that happens in just half a day in the heart of the city, targeting a former submarine commander. After receiving advice from the best Korean experts in dealing with criminal crises, the movie was created in order to depict the story of how the characters try to stop the big-scaled terrorist attack.

There were many movies that had time limits like this, such as the U.S series “24 hours” and TVB’s “Split Second”. However, solving a case in 24 hours is already tricky; now that a Korean movie wants to deal with a terrorist in just half a day (12 hours) seems to hint at showing extremely intense action scenes.

The released photos that reveal close-up shots of the actors have raised the viewers’ expectations for “Decibel”. Lee Jong Suk and Cha Eun Woo look really handsome in navy uniforms. Movie fans have always been in love with characters who wear military uniforms, so they must definitely be looking forward to the film release day to see the most handsome Korean actors in those uniforms.

Meanwhile, the photo cuts of Kim Rae Won and Jung Sang Hoon give off a serious and intense atmosphere as if they are in a complicated situation. Other characters played by Park Byung Eun, Lee Sang Hee, and Jo Dal Hwan were also introduced through this photo series, proving that “Decibel” is going to be an “all-star” cinema blockbuster.

“Decibel” reportedly has a total production cost of 12 billion won. Based on this number, viewers can see how large the movie’s scale is. In addition to the overall setting that is significantly invested, the film is also expensive because of its star-studded cast. The famous cast is undoubtedly one of the factors that attract not only investors but also viewers.

Theatrical films usually earn 50% of the ticket sales, so “Decibel”’s breakeven point should be at 24 billion won. That’s why the movie is planned to be shown at the same time in Korea and many countries around the world. Many international viewers are looking forward to being able to watch “Decibel” at the same time as Korean audiences, instead of having to wait 2-4 weeks like usual.

Explaining the reason for simultaneous screening in different countries, the film’s producer also shared on a number of Korean media channels that: “We want to avoid the movie’s pirated copies being spread online, secretly filming in many countries and illegally leaking on social networks, torrents. Therefore, only by showing simultaneously in cinemas around the world, we can ensure the quality of “Decibel” as a cinema blockbuster that is well worth the amount of money invested.”

The exciting still cuts of the movie have been released as an appetizer for the fans who are anticipating the official release and at the same time to confirm that “Decibel” is finally coming to the theaters. More teasers and trailers are expected to be released soon. But at the moment, the upcoming action-thriller film’s specific release date is yet to be confirmed.
