BTS V (Kim Tae-hyung) abruptly deleted a post on Instagram, drawing attention to the reason why he did this.
On Dec 8th, V uploaded some photos of his outfit that was inspired by Squid Game on his Instagram. The images had garnered more than 10 million likes since their release. Netflix pressed the “Like” button and retweeted, “While V should never really wear a mask, I am living for this BTS x Squid Game mashup.” Actress Jung Ho-yeon also responded by clicking “Like”.
However, the pictures were suddenly deleted soon after, and the reason was revealed through the fan community Weverse. A fan asked, “Did you hear about ‘Insta vibe’?”. V replied, “Yes, that’s right…”
Afterwards, V reposted the photos through his Instagram story. On top of that, he added a squid emoticon in front of the phrases “What’s ‘Insta vibe’?” and “It’s trendy…”, which made fans burst into laughter.
Meanwhile, BTS members opened personal Instagram accounts on Dec 6th. Among them, V proved his “SNS king” aspect by setting a new world record as “the celebrity with the most followers within 24 hours”.
