The rating of “The One And Only” starring Red Velvet Joy hit rock bottom

On the 1st day of the Lunar New Year but JTBC already has a series with a viewer rating under 1%.

As Korea also has the Lunar New Year holiday, many TV series broadcasts are either postponed or aired with a lower rating than usual. “The One and Only”, a work which is seen as JTBC’s 1st failure of this year, is not doing any better. The rating for two episodes aired on Jan 31st and Feb 1st has hit 0,535% (episode 14) and 0,498% (episode 13) – the lowest rating ever since this series first started.

With the appearance of the beautiful female idol Joy (Red Velvet), “The One And Only” was predicted to perform poorly even before it aired because of the female lead’s terrible acting ability. Starting with a rating of 2.442%, a not too low number for jTBC, right in episode 2, the rating dropped to 1.365 % and from episode 4 onwards, it always remained at 0.x%. Many viewers also complained that the script of “The One And Only” is terrible and no matter how excellent the rest of the cast performs, they can’t make up for the messy script and Joy’s lacking acting.
