The most affected person after Lucas’s (NCT) scandal: The first single release was canceled, got dragged by netizens
Despite doing nothing wrong, this NCT member still got dragged into Lucas’s scandal, causing fans to feel sorry for him.
On August 23 and 24, Lucas (NCT/WayV) was continuously accused by his ex-girlfriends and boyfriend of cheating, gaslighting, having unsafe sexual intercourse, bad-mouthing his group members and colleagues, taking advantage of the fans… This scandal has severely affected the reputation of Lucas himself and the group as a whole.
On August 25, Lucas posted an apology letter to fans. SM also apologized, stating that they are responsible for the artists under their management. The controversy sparked right before WayV’s new sub-unit consisting of 2 members, Lucas and Hendery, was about to debut. Therefore, the most affected person is none other than Hendery.
Hendery debuted quite late in NCT. In 2019, he debuted with WayV – NCT China. He is also limited to being active in WayV and NCT 2020’s lineup, not having many schedules and opportunities to showcase his talents. Compared to Lucas, who has been active in NCT U, WayV, NCT 2020, SuperM, collaborations with seniors, Hendery definitely has a disadvantage.
