The posthumous work of the late actress Kang Soo Yeon, who passed away in May, is about to premiere.
On December 21st, Netflix released an official trailer for director Yeon Sang Ho’s new film “Jung_E”. “Jung_E” tells the story of developing combat AI robots by cloning the legendary mercenary Jung_E’s brain when war breaks out in the shelter built for human survival because Earth is no longer habitable due to climate change.
In this movie, Kang Soo Yeon played Seo Hyun, the team leader of the research institute in charge of cloning Jung_E’s brain and developing AI technologies. Mercenary and combat Ai robot Jung_E is played by actress Kim Hyun Joo. “Jung_E” is scheduled to be released on January 20th, 2023 via Netflix.
“Jung_E” was supposed to be Kang So Yeon’s return movie in about 10 years since the short film “Juri” in 2013. However, the actress died on May 7th at the age of 55. The cause of her death is known to be cerebral hemorrhage due to a ruptured cerebral aneurysm.
