‘Squid Game Land’ is expected to be a hit if the games are made into a theme park by Netflix like ‘Disneyland’

Netflix original series ‘Squid Game’ is gaining popularity worldwide.

As the popularity of Netflix’s ‘Squid Game‘ continues to surge, the global interest in Korean traditional games as seen in the drama is growing. Accordingly, on various online communities and social media platforms, many netizens have left comments suggesting Netflix create a theme park called ‘Squid Game Land’, similar to Disney’s theme park Disneyland. As the ‘Squid Game’ craze is spreading all over the world, the public has expressed their wish for this idea to become a reality in different countries, starting with Korea.

Previously, Netflix opened ‘Squid Game World’, a pop-up playground inspired by the hit series, at Itaewon Station in central Seoul until the 26th of last month. Thanks to the popularity of ‘Squid Game’, ‘Squid Game World’ attracted a large number of visitors.

Not only in Korea, but even in Paris, France, ‘Squid Game’ pop-up installation debuted by Netflix also had a large crowd of 3,000 people waiting to enter.

People who want ‘Squid Game Land’ to be created suggested that it would be better to punish the losers with paint gun shots while playing the ‘Red Light Green Light’ game. Unlike the drama, safety should be prioritized. They also expressed that it would be fun to have the workers at the park wearing the signature pink uniforms from the drama.

In addition, many netizens recommended the winner of the games to be given a sugar honeycomb candy, also known as ‘dalgona’, and a green tracksuit as a gift.

Besides the traditional names as seen in ‘Squid Game’, it would be interesting to add other Korean children’s games such as ‘Why did you come to my house’ and ‘land expansion game’. Although these classic games are not included in ‘Squid Game’, the rules are also simple and foreigners can easily participate.

Netflix original series ‘Squid Game’ tells the story of people who participate in a mysterious survival game and risk their lives to become the ultimate winner and earn the tempting prize of 45.6 billion won.  After being released, ‘Squid Game’ has gained explosive popularity thanks to its exceptional storyline, and occupied first place on Netflix’s trending in many countries around the world.
