“Squid Game” Jung Ho-yeon: “It’s not a psycho robot, it’s our Younghee”

Actress Jung Ho-yeon talked about the “Red Light, Green Light” doll in “Squid Game”.

On October 7th (Korea Standard Time), the stars of Netflix’s original “Squid Game” – Lee Jung-jae, Park Hae-soo, Jung Ho-yeon, and Wi Ha-joon – appeared on NBC’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”

On the show, Jimmy Fallon greeted, “I received a tagger doll in the ‘Squid Game’ as a gift. Thank you so much.”

Jimmy Fallon then asked, “In ‘Squid Game’, doesn’t this doll shoot whenever the participants move? I’ve heard that this character’s face appears in Korean textbooks, so who on earth is this psycho robot?”.

In response, Jung Ho-yeon replied sensibly, “It is one of the characters in our textbooks. One is a boy and one is a girl. The boy’s name is Chulsoo and the girl’s name is Younghee. Young-hee’s the tagger doll.”

Meanwhile, “Squid Game” is a story about people who participate in a mysterious survival game with 45.6 billion won in prize money, risking their lives to become the last winner. Actors Lee Jung-jae, Park Hae-soo, Oh Young-soo, Wi Ha-joon, Jung Ho-yeon, and Heo Sung-tae appeared in the series.
