Song Mino, a member of the group Winner, surpassed BlackPink’s Jennie and her song “SOLO” with his solo debut song “Fiancé”.
Song Mino‘s first solo album “XX,” released on music sites at 6:00 p.m. on Nov. 26th was ranked No. 1 on the real-time chart of Korea’s largest music platform Melon, while Jennie’s ‘SOLO‘ was ranked second.
In addition to Melon, Song Mino swept the top spots in the real-time charts of five sites, including Genie, Bugs, Mnet, and Olleh Music. It was a feat that was achieved in just four hours.
Jennie is also drawing attention because she is still in second place on the 15th day of release with “SOLO,” which was released on the 12th. She stayed second at Melon, Genie and Olleh Music, and stayed third at Mnet.
YG Entertainment’s president Yang Hyun-suk also congratulated Mino on winning the top spots. He reportedly posted on his SNS, “Great start .. Congratz to all ICs out there,” along with the screen capture of Mino being No.1 on Genie’s real-time chart.
