Song Joong-ki finished filming ‘Bogota’: ‘We overcame many difficulties’

The movie ‘Bogota’ starring Song Joong-ki, Lee Hee-joon and Kwon Hae-hyo has safely finished filming.

Director Kim Sung-jae shared his feelings on the completion of a long journey, “We got out of the crosswind named ‘epidemic’ that swept the entire earth and arrived at the port safely. Thanks to the understanding, concessions and fighting spirit of the actors and staff, we were able to get here safely. Thank you everyone for your hard work and dedication.”

Song Joong-ki played the role of ‘Guk-hee’ who will show a turbulent life story from the bottom to the top of Bogota’s business warzone after arriving in Bogota at the age of 19. He expressed his affection for the character and the film, “I think it’s a very special movie that will come out as great as the number of hurdles we overcame. Just as ‘Guk-hee’ arrived in Colombia and grew up step by step, the filming process for ‘Bogota’ was a good time for actor Song Joong-ki to learn and feel a lot of things.”

Lee Hee-joon took on the role of ‘Soo-young’ who successfully settled himself among merchants in Bogota thanks to his excellent survivability and skills after coming to Colombia as an employee of a major company. He thanked the actors and staff who worked hard together, “The actors, director and staff worked really hard. I’m  also grateful to Colombian staff who were with me abroad.”

Kwon Hae-hyo played the role of ‘Sergeant Park’, a fellow soldier of Guk-hee’s father during the Vietnam War, a successful merchant and the head of Korean Merchant Association who brought Guk-hee’s family to Bogota, Colombia. He displayed his special affection for ‘Bogota’, “It gives a different feeling compared with many films I’ve met during my 30 years of acting.”

The viewers will have the chance to see Song Joong-ki’s transformation from a 19-year-old boy who arrived in Bogota without money to a man who constructed his own kingdom. In addition, with good acting skills from actors such as Lee Hee-joon and Kwon Hae-hyo, who will display the fierce lives of those running toward success in the competition to survive, ‘Bogota’ is scheduled to visit the audience after post-production.
