Specifically in a flashback scene when Young Eun (Song Hye Kyo) and ex-boyfriend Soo Wan travel abroad together, instead of real background, the production crew used a blue screen, probably to save money. Of course, this is something that the viewers can totally understand. However, the problem is the scene’s flawed and awkward CGI effect.

Now, We Are Breaking Up is a drama with a massive budget, and while the exact figure has not been revealed, Song Hye Kyo‘s expensive branded costumes said it all. Aside from that, the main couple even had scenes in Paris. The crew, however, chose to use a green screen for a simple scene and edited it badly. Previously, Now We Are Breaking Up, Jeon Ji Hyun‘s Jirisan made the same mistake, which annoyed the audience.

Audience comments:

  • Korean cinematography has never been said to be excellent but it’s too bad that they can’t do such a simple scene well.
  • I don’t understand why it doesn’t shoot outside.  The audience doesn’t ask for the background to look exactly like France
  • They put all their money into Song Hye Kyo’s outfits instead of a perfect scene.
  • As bad as Jeon Ji Hyun’s Jirisan
