Song Hye-kyo honestly confessed: “I avoid looking at my face in the mirror every morning, but…”
Song Hye-kyo explained why she didn’t want to look at herself in the mirror.
On November 13th, a video of “Now, We Are Breaking Up” main actors gathering and interviewing each other was uploaded on SBS’s Youtube channel. In the video, Song Hye-kyo, Jang Ki-yong, Choi Hee-seo and Kim Joo-heon took turns asking questions written on the questionnaire to other actors.
Song Hye-kyo was the first person to receive the questions. Jang Ki-yong said, “Please answer this question honestly, Don’t think too much”. While Song Hye-kyo was nervous, Jang Ki-yong asked, “What do you think whenever you look in the mirror?” Song Hye-kyo said, “Oh…”, then hesitated for a while. Other actors were showing their expectations for answers such as “So pretty”.
Soon after, Song Hye-kyo said, “Honestly, I used to look in the mirror and thought ‘Ah, I’m so pretty’ when I was younger. But now I don’t even want to look at myself in the mirror when I wake up in the morning.”
In response, Jang Ki-yong and Choi Hee-seo with a disappointing expression as if it was a ‘dishonest’ answer from Song Hye-kyo. They said, “No way” but Song Hye-kyo emphasized, “That’s true”.
Therefore, Song Hye-kyo laughed and honestly explained, “I tend to avoid seeing my face in the morning. But in the evening, when my face is not swollen anymore, I look in the mirror and think, ‘Uhm, I look okay’.” At this point, other actors were all satisfied with Song Hye-kyo’s honest answer, and they burst into laughter.
Despite their age gap of 11 years, Song Hye-kyo and Jang Ki-yong are showing a romance to audiences through “Now, We Are Breaking Up”.
