Somi has the best father in KPOP who not only appeared as a cameo in her MV but also took care of her during the whole filming time
Lots of fans have been asking for a chance to become Somi’s dad’s “son-in-law”.
At 6 P.M KST on October 29th, Jeon Somi finally joined the KPOP race with her comeback MV – “XOXO”. This is the title song of Somi’s first full album and was produced by many famous names, such as Pink $weats, Pacific, Teddy, and 24. Somi also participated in writing lyrics for most of her songs in this album, proving that she had paid all her heart and soul into this music product.
After the “XOXO” was released, fans immediately found out the identities of 2 handsome “special characters” in this MV. One cameo is the young man who appeared in Somi’s previous MV – “DUMB DUMB”, and the other is the cool policeman at the end of the video.
The policeman is no other than Somi’s father – Mr. Mathew Douma.
Not only did he appear in the MV, Mr. Mathew also took his daughter to the filming site and took care of her during the whole MV filming time. This behind-the-scene story was revealed by Somi in her latest Instagram post.
Somi also expressed her love for dad by writing a lovely message to him, saying, “Police officer Matthew Douma (MY DAD!!!!!). Thanks for showing up. What an experience. I had so much fun shooting the MV with you. You look badass. Love you”
