BLACKPINK will return with their 2nd full album “Born Pink” in September.
On August 10th, YG Entertainment posted on its official Instagram a teaser image for BLACKPINK’s 2 full album “Born Pink”
This teaser image is similar to the previous release poster for BLACKPINK’s pre-release single “Pink Venom”, still with the pink fangs and on a light gray background this time. The comeback date, as shown on the image, is confirmed to be September 16th, 2022.
Talking about BLACKPINK’s highly anticipated comeback, YG said: “The album name ‘Born Pink’ represents the group’s dignity and confidence, as well as their unique presence since birth. Please look forward to an album full of music that matches Black Pink’s unique identity, which is a fatal aura itself.”
Specific details such as information about the title song and album track list are not yet known, but global fans are in a festive mood as the schedules of a pre-released song in August, a full album in September, and a world tour starting in October, are revealed.
Previously, YG announced the first tour dates of BLACKPINK’s tremendous world tour, which covers various cities all across the world and is estimated to attract around 1.5 million people. The tour will also include stadium concerts, which are of larger scales than normal arenas.
With such an extensive project, it’s apparent that YG and BLACKPINK members have been preparing hard for a long time. Aside from the 2 music videos, which are said to have the highest production costs in Kpop history, BLACKPINK will also introduce other special projects, YG said, raising expectations.
BLACKPINK, who has received great love for every album they release, is drawing intense attention for finally dropping their 2nd full-length album, 6 years after debut.
