Some netizens suspect Joy’s (Red Velvet) dating was exposed to cover up Lucas’s (NCT) scandal

What caught the attention of netizens was the timing of Joy’s dating news and Lucas’s gaslighting scandal, leading to a “conspiracy theory” about whether SM used Joy’s dating news to cover up the shocking scandal involving Lucas, one of the most biased members in NCT? 

Specifically, on the morning of August 23, the well-known Korean news site Sports Chosun exclusively reported that Joy, one of the most popular Red Velvet members is dating the talented male singer Crush. Accordingly, the two have had feelings for each other since collaborating on the song “Mayday” released in May 2020.

Coincidentally, 2 following days in a row, on August 24 and August 25, another idol under SM Ent, Lucas, has taken the social media by storm.

Accordingly, the male idol’s secret romantic relationships with fans were constantly exposed by his “ex-girlfriend club”. A netizen uploaded a post on this matter on the Korean forum Pann and received many views and comments to discuss this “conspiracy theory”.

 – But how important is Lucas for them to cover him up with Joy like that? I don’t care about idols but I only found out about NCT when Lucas’s news broke out. Is he that important to SM?
