“Snowdrop” ranks 12th on Disney+ in one day: Gaining popularity overseas amid controversy over history distortion

“Snowdrop” has started gaining popularity abroad on Disney+.

According to “Flix Patrol” – an online content service ranking website, as of Dec 20th, “Snowdrop” took 12th place in just one day after its release. The work immediately ranked high as soon as it was released in five Asian countries: South Korea (3rd), Taiwan, Hong Kong, Philippines (2nd) and Japan (5th).

Then, he objected to the transmission of false facts abroad and strongly demanded “Snowdrop” to suspend its broadcast.

In fact, netizens, who are adding firepower to controversy over the drama’s history distortion, are actively sending emails to Disney+ as well as Disney’s global headquarters to inform them of this fact. Companies that posted sponsorships or advertisements are also announcing their withdrawal one after another.

Meanwhile, “Snowdrop” starring Jung Hae-in and Jisoo recorded a viewership rating of 3% in the first week of its airing amid controversy over history distortion.
