SM should learn the way YG responds to dating rumors

When idols get caught up in dating rumors, YG always has very short and straightforward answers

In just half of December 27, the agencies of Taeyeon (SNSD) and Ravi (VIXX) made people confused because they repeatedly confirmed and denied rumors.  Immediately, the ways that YG responded when idols were dating were also praised.

Reply in YG style: “if he really has a girlfriend then congratulations”

Currently, people are confused by the dating news of Taeyeon and Ravi.  At first, SM Entertainment denied it, saying that the couple was just a close senior-junior relationship.  Meanwhile, GROOVL1N confirmed it, then denied it, making it difficult for people to understand.

Therefore, the K-pop fan community also has the opportunity to remember old memories.  Specifically, YG’s response to Taeyang’s dating case with Min Hyorin six years ago suddenly became hot again: “Um, Taeyang is recording for Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook so he turned off the phone. We couldn’t contact him so we couldn’t verify it.  But if he really has a girlfriend then congratulations, he’s been single for so long ”.

Also YG: “Our announcement is similar to SM Entertainment

When there are dating rumors, agencies will quickly verify and issue a notice to appease the fans.  These answers tend to be ambiguous, but YG’s way is loved by fans because of its frankness and humor.

In addition to the overwhelming response above, YG Entertainment has also made people excited when announcing the dating rumors of the artists under the company.  Specifically, in early 2019, Dispatch released dating photos of Kai (EXO) and Jennie (BLACKPINK), SM quickly confirmed the information.  Following that, YG responded to the media with a short, concise sentence: “Our announcement is like SM Entertainment”.

The unclear response is what fans do not want to see the most when idols’ love rumors appear.  Seems like SM as well as other entertainment companies should learn the way of YG.
