SM Ent commented on Lucas’ incident: “We have to be responsible for our lack of control in artist management”

Lucas also just posted an apology letter and announced that he will be suspending all individual and group activities.

Recently, SM Entertainment has just announced their official statement about the scandal related to WayV/ NCT Lucas’s private life.

SM Entertainment’s official statement:

“Hi. This is SM Entertainment. We apologise for raising concerns regarding our artist Lucas’s private issues.

Aware of the seriousness of this issue, we have decided to stop releasing all content, including digital music and the music video for WayV-Lucas & Hendery’s “Jalapeño”, scheduled for release at 6:00 p.m. on the 25th.

Lucas is now deeply reflecting on the fact that he has caused great hurt and disappointment by his wrongdoings. We also feel responsible for the lack of artist management

Once again, we deeply apologize for upsetting many people, including fans, because of Lucas’s private issues”.

Lucas has just posted his apology letter to fans on Instagram. The new MV of Lucas & Hendery will not be released as scheduled!
