“Brave Citizen” starring Shin Hye-sun and Lee Jun-young will start filming in December.
The movie “Brave Citizen” (director Park Jin-pyo) will tell the action-packed story of So Si-min (played by Shin Hye-sun), who was once a rising boxing star. She faces injustice that she has to endure to become a full-time teacher.
Shin Hye-sun will show off her limitless transformation once again by playing So Si-min, a life-oriented hero who tolerates injustice very well. So Si-min was a rising boxing star that everyone paid attention to during her school days, but she adapts to the unavoidable reality and lives as a full-time teacher. Actress Shin Hye-sun, who has always been a hot topic for her perfect acting skills regardless of genre or role, is already arousing the interest of many people for her realistic acting. In particular, Shin Hye-sun is expected to give the audience pleasant feelings by foretelling that she will even perform real action scenes through this work.
In addition, actor Lee Joon-young will take on the role of Han Soo-kang, the student who becomes So Si-min’s nemesis. Lee Joon-young, who has recently attracted attention as a next-generation rising star by captivating the public with his strong presence in Netflix’s original series “D.P.”, will present a villain character that stirs up tensions in “Brave Citizen”.
Based on the Naver webtoon of the same name “Brave Citizen” (written/illustrated by Kim Jung-hyun), “Brave Citizen” will show cool and exhilarating hero action scenes that have never been seen in existing Korean movies. Director Park Jin-pyo is in charge of directing while writers Yeo Ji-na and Hyun Chung-yeol of “The Uncanny Counter” pen the script, predicting the birth of a new genre of thrilling hero action film that combines both popularity and cinematic quality.
“Brave Citizen” is scheduled to begin filming in December.
