Kim Seol-hyun, who has not been in any small screen productions since the drama “Day and Night” released in the first half of this year, has confirmed the news of her next project after a long time.
According to entertainment media outlets on October 15th, Seol-hyun was selected to act as the main character of the tvN drama “Murderer’s Shopping List” (literal translation), which is scheduled to air in 2022. “Murderer’s Shopping List” is known as a drama about neighbors who live with all their might, scary, annoying, funny, good, but know nothing about each other.
Expectations are high on what form of work will be completed with a thriller that deals with various crimes and crises, such as child abuse, redevelopment, and neighbor-to-neighbor stalking, that can occur anytime, anywhere in a neighborhood.
Earlier, actor Lee Kwang-soo is known to have positively reviewed the role of MS Mart Cashier Ahn Dae-sung.
Seol-hyun is expected to play Do Ah-hee, his girlfriend and main character of the drama. Doa-hee became a police officer to secretly solve crimes in the neighborhood but appears as a lively girl who enjoys real estate window shopping despite various complaints.
Interestingly, this is the second time she plays a police officer, after successfully turning into a member of Seoul Metropolitan Police Department’s special force in her previous drama “Day and Night.”
The drama “Murderer’s Shopping List” will be directed by Lee Eon-hee, who directed the films “Missing” and “The Accidental Detective 2: In Action,” and is written by screenwriter Han Ji-wan, who wrote “The Ghost Detective”, “Wanted”, and “Schoolgirl Detectives”.
