Passionate responses poured out as the plan for season 2 of “Squid Game” was unveiled.
On Nov 8th, Netflix’s “Squid Game” event was held in Los Angeles, USA with the participation of director Hwang Dong-hyuk as well as actors Lee Jung-jae, Park Hae-soo, Jung Ho-yeon.
According to overseas media outlets such as Forbes, when asked about season 2 of “Squid Game” in an interview on the same day, director Hwang Dong-hyuk replied, “It will happen.” Although he gave no other details, this is the first time that director Hwang has officially stated that he will produce season 2.
Director Hwang Dong-hyuk said, “We are receiving too much demand, attention and love for season 2, so we have no choice but to do it. It is still unclear how season 2 of “Squid Game” will be made and when it will be released. Forbes predicted that “it will take more than a year and a half to produce season 2” over director Hwang’s announcement that he is planning season 2 of “Squid Game“.
In addition, by synthesizing several interviews conducted by director Hwang Dong-hyuk, they predicted what role Ki-hoon would play and that the frontman and his brother in “Squid Game” would return.

The post also showcased the gloomy expression of Il-nam (Oh Young-soo) when “finishing Squid Game S1” and his happy face when “S2 was announced today“.
