ARMYs criticized BTS’s agency for letting BTS wear shoes that were too big during their concert

Fan felt bad at the fact that BTS members were wearing unfitted shoes throughout the whole concert.

On October 24th, BTS held an online streaming concert, “BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE” at Jamsil Olympic Main Stadium in Seoul. On this day, BTS performed 24 songs in total, including “ON”, “FIRE”, “Dope” and “DNA”. Without solo performances or unit stages, all seven members completed a perfect show with group songs from the beginning until the end of this concert.

However, shortly after the show ended, fans expressed their frustration when noticing BTS members wearing shoes that were too big during the concert. In particular, Jin and J-Hope wore shoes that were much larger than their feet sizes while singing 4 songs: “Life Goes On”, “Boy With Love, Dynamite, and “Butter”.

As a result, fans criticized the company, saying, “How could you let your singers wear those shoes to perform choreographies?”, “It was a big safety problem”. They complained about the company’s lack of sensitivity to safety when providing unfitted shoes for BTS, who performed many intense choreographies, given that this could cause injuries or accidents.

Some fans also urged the company to improve their management, “This problem has occurred many times in BTS’s performances, pictorial shootings, and music videos in the past”. In fact, in a cover photo released by Time magazine last year, fans pointed out that BTS Jimin was wearing shoes that didn’t fit his feet.

Meanwhile, BTS has become the first Asian singer to be nominated for the Artist of the Year at the “2021 American Music Awards”, which is one of the top 3 music awards ceremonies in the U.S. In addition, BTS was also nominated for 2 other categories, such as “Favorite Pop Duo Group” and “Favorite Pop Song”.
