“Gangnam Style” by singer Psy (Park Jae-sang, 41) reportedly topped the list of the “Greatest Music Videos of the 21st Century” selected by Billboard.
“Gangnam Style” was ranked 12th in “The 100 Greatest Music Video of the 21st Century” list, which was released by Billboard on October 24th. ” It has been five years since the satirical dance song “Gangnam Style” swept the world like a storm and became the first music video to reach over one billion views,” said the magazine, “Psy’s music video has been an amazing global sensation that has turned our attention to the Korean music industry.”
“Gangnam Style”, which was released in 2012, has caused a global sensation by ranking second for seven consecutive weeks on the Billboard main single chart “Billboard Hot 100.” The video has now surpassed 3.1 billion views on YouTube.
Other Korean songs, which also made the list, are BTS’ “Blood and Sweat Tears”at No. 67, and Girls ‘ Generation’s “Gee” at No. 92.
The best music video of the 21st century title is reported to go to Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance.”
