On the night of August 18th, Sunnee fainted after performing at the launch of the Rocket Girl’s new song. The members then struggled to help her up all worried and shocked. As the situation got worse, she was quickly guided off the stage by security guards and medical staffs. The performance was cut short in the pity of the audience.
The official company then responded that Sunnee has been sent to the hospital immediately by the staff and is currently being treated by professional medical staffs.
Yamy, one of the group’s members, also shared that Sunnee’s health condition was not very good the night before the performance. She even went to the hospital to have a check-up. However, the girl seemed to work over-time and invested everything she had into the practice, which lead to her sudden fainting on-stage.
“Rocket Girls 101” is a 11-member Chinese idol girl group formed by Tencent through the 2018 reality show Produce 101 China. Before this fainting incident, their official company released a joint announcement stating that they would be withdrawing members Meiqi, Xuanyi, and Zining from the group. On August 17th, Yuehua and Mavericks both announced that the members would return to the group after coming to an agreement with Tencent. However, there are only 8 members performing in the video.
