The teaser poster of “Little Women” is caught up in a plagiarism controversy.
On September 5th, through an online community, suspicion over plagiarism arose as the teaser poster for tvN’s new drama “Little Women” is found to be noticeably similar to a poster of Shiseido, a Japanese cosmetic brand.
The teaser poster for “Little Women” shows illustrations of three sisters Oh In Joo (Kim Go Eun), Oh In Kyung (Nam Ji Hyun), and Oh In Hye (Park Ji Hoo) walking towards an unknown bright place on the blue horizon. The poster sparked a controversy because it has the same main color and composition as a Shiseido poster.
Netizens left comments:
- This is not at the level of a reference
- It’s obviously a copy of the Shiseido poster
- Even the colors are similar, they need to explain this
- They need to be called out on plagiarism
Meanwhile, tvN’s “Little Women” tells the story of three sisters who grow up in a poor family. Their lives take a turn when they fight against the richest and most powerful family in Korea. The first episode aired on September 3rd.
