A senior police official said, “We have confirmed some of the allegations about prostitution“. He added, “After that, several people relating to the suspected prostitution were investigated over the past two weeks, and four to five women were among them. We have received a statement that there was indeed a situation of the sex trafficking,” he said.

However, they are still checking the details of its arrangement to have sex in return for investment, the places where the sexual services were conducted and the specific orders they received.

The police have also completed the process of comparing and analyzing some of the conversations of the so-called “Seungri chat room” secured through search and seizure with and the data submitted to the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, which was handed over by the prosecution, to verify the authenticity of the data.

Seungri’s “investor prostitution allegation” has been added with another new twist regarding his relation with a Japanese investor who is suspected of the prostitution service at the club’s “Arena”, Gangnam in 2015.

The Japanese company, represented by Mr. A – a Japanese man, was reportedly in a group chat with Seungri and Yoo CEO (of Yuri Holdings) where they have different messages implying a prostitution service.10 months after that, the Japanese got the trademark right of operating a restaurant in Seoul. the restaurant was opened by Seungri and Yoo CEO in June 2016.

Police are also investigating further allegations raised, but Seungri’s lawyer responds that all suspicions related to them are “nonsense.
