Pentagon Hong Seok discharged from military service due to worsening symptoms of panic disorder and depression

Hong Seok (real name Yang Hong Seok, 28 years old), a member of the boy group Pentagon, has been discharged from the military service.

Pentagon’s agency CUBE Entertainment issued a press release on December 26th, saying “Pentagon member military”.

CUBE explained, “While serving in the military, Hong Seok received continuous treatment and counseling due to his panic disorder and depression with Agoraphobia, which he had had since before enlistment. However, Hong Seok was discharged early according to the military’s assessment and judgment that it is impossible for him to combine military life and treatment due to his worsening symptoms.”

They added, “We apologize for causing concern with this sudden news. We will continue to do our best to help Hong Seok focus on treatment and stabilization.”

Pentagon Hong Seok enlisted on May 3rd. His discharge date was originally scheduled to be in November 2023.
