It all thanks to “Boy with Luv”, the title song of their latest comeback.
According to Guinness World Records, BTS broke 3 records on YouTube thanks to their newly released MV “Boy with Luv”. Those 3 records are listed as follows:
Most viewed on YouTube video in 24 hours (74.6 million views)
Most viewed on YouTube music video in 24 hours
Most viewed on YouTube music video in 24 hours by a K-pop group
The record that BTS got during the comeback with “Map of the Soul: PERSONA” can be saved with a very long list, in which must include the sales of the album on the first week on Hanteo.
After 7 days pre-order, BTS sold 2.130.480 albums, became the first and only group in K-pop history sold more over than 2 million albums on the first week on Hanteo.
Compared to last year, the 7-member group really went so far as they broke their record sales for the first week of 1.003.527 discs for the album “Love Yourself: Tear”.
Of course, it is impossible not to mention Perfect All-kill certification for “Boy with Luv” that helped BTS become the first artist in 2019 to top all digital music charts.
Winning at the same time in many areas with extremely outstanding achievements, it is hard to deny, BTS now becomes the No. 1 KPOP idol group worldwide.
