NewJeans Tops Brand Reputation for Ad Models in March 2023, Followed by BTS and BLACKPINK

The Brand Reputation Rankings for Ad Models in March 2023 have been announced. 

The Korean Corporate Reputation Research Institute has recently released their analysis of big data gathered from 22,862,336 consumer behavior records for the period of February 16 to March 16, 2023. 

The report ranks the top ad model brands in Korea for March 2023 based on consumer engagement, media exposure, communication, and community index, which together comprise the brand reputation index. The results showed that NewJeans ranked first with a brand reputation index of 1,695,456, followed by BTS and BLACKPINK.

NewJeans‘ brand reputation index was composed of 465,885 for consumer engagement, 391,818 for media exposure, 293,812 for communication, and 543,941 for community index. 

Despite a 37.32% decrease from January 2023’s brand reputation index of 2,704,823, NewJeans still managed to stay on top. The report also noted that NewJeans’ brand is associated with “positive, youthful, likable” attributes, and is often associated with “collaboration, trendiness, and ambassadorship”.

BTS ranked second with a brand reputation index of 1,570,756. BTS scored 200,948 for consumer engagement, 307,782 for media exposure, 214,067 for communication, and 847,961 for community index. Compared to their January 2023 brand reputation index of 1,551,611, they saw a slight increase of 1.23%.

BLACKPINK

BLACKPINK ranked third with a brand reputation index of 1,533,410. BLACKPINK’s index was composed of 83,700 for consumer engagement, 314,894 for media exposure, 275,178 for communication, and 859,637 for community index. Compared to their January 2023 brand reputation index of 1,526,317, they saw a small increase of 0.46%.

Fourth and fifth place were occupied by soccer star Son Heung Min and trot singer Lim Young Woong, respectively.
