NewJeans members (Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin and Hyein) already returned home from the U.S. and resumed their schedule.
According to Star News on Jan 14th, NewJeans successfully hosted a “Listening Party” with fans at 12 p.m. the same day. As the girls recently made a comeback by releasing their second single album “OMG” on Jan 2nd, the members introduced their two title songs “OMG” and “Ditto” through the Listening Party.
NewJeans was scheduled to return to Korea right away after finishing their overseas schedule on Jan 12th. However, due to the series of flight delays and cancellations in the U.S., the girl group couldn’t board the flight as planned and eventually announced their absence from KBS 2TV’s music program “Music Bank” and a fansigning event scheduled for Jan 13th.
Amid the Korean fans’ thirst for NewJeans comeback promotions, the members returned home safely around late at night on Jan 13th and the morning of Jan 14th and resumed their schedules.
Meanwhile, NewJeans’s new songs “OMG” and “Ditto” are dominating major domestic and international music charts. According to the U.K. Official Single Chart on Jan 13th (local time), “Ditto” ranked 95th on TOP 100. The track even rose to 8th place on the U.S. Billboard’s ‘Global 200’.
While “Ditto” charted No.11 on Spotify Global’s ‘Weekly Top Song’ and No.8 on Billboard’s ‘Bubbling Under the Hot 100’ on the same day, “OMG” also topped the Japan’s Oricon Weekly Singles Ranking. Both “Ditto” and “OMG” ranked 1st and 2nd, respectively, on QQ Music’s ‘New Song Chart’.
