NewJeans and BTS defeated? Singer’s brand reputation ranking 1st place is “this person”

According to the results of big data analysis in March 2023, NewJeans and BTS placed 2nd and 3rd, respectively, in the singer category for brand reputation. 

The Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute analyzed 121,696,380 pieces of big data related to singer brands from February 25, 2023, to March 25, 2023, providing consumer brand participation, media, communication, and community analyses. Compared to the 132,547,215 pieces of singer brand big data in February, there was a decrease of 8.19%.


The Singer Brand Reputation Index is an index analyzed through positive and negative ratio analysis and reputation analysis algorithms, and classified into participation value, communication value, media value, and community value by extracting singer brand big data that is loved by consumers

The top 30 singer brand reputation rankings in March 2023, in sequential order, were as follows: Lim Young Woong, NewJeans, BTS, BLACKPINK, TWICE, Lee Chan Won, IU, Kim Ho Joong, Younha, SEVENTEEN, IVE, STAYC, NMIXX, Young Tak, LE SSERAFIM, (G)I-DLE, Im Chang Jung, EXO, Jessi, Taeyeon, Psy, Song Ga In, Kang Daniel, MeloMance, aespa, Girls’ Generation, Jang Min Ho, NCT, Jay Park, and Lee Seung Yoon.

Lim Young Woong’s brand took first place in the singer brand reputation ranking with a brand reputation index of 8,679,144, an increase of 5.12% compared to 8,256,269 in February. 

Meanwhile, NewJeans ranked 2nd with a brand reputation index of 8,331,811, a decrease of 6.16% compared to 8,878,566 in February. In addition, BTS ranked 3rd with a brand reputation index of 7,940,535, a significant increase of 37.17% compared to 5,788,628 in February. 


Finally, BLACKPINK ranked 4th and TWICE ranked 5th with respective brand reputation indices of 6,620,229 and 4,213,991, showing increases of 33.54% and 240.26% compared to their indices in February.

The Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute’s Director, Gu Chang Hwan, commented on the analysis results, mentioning that Lim Young Woong’s brand ranked first in the March 2023 singer brand big data analysis, while the overall singer brand big data decreased by 8.19% compared to February.

He also added that Lim Young Woong’s brand leads the trot culture with the album “I’m Hero: The Final”, NewJeans’ brand takes over fan culture based on trendy music, and BTS’ brand excels in individual activities, achieving new records.

Additionally, BLACKPINK has achieved overwhelming success in global activities, while TWICE reached a career high in Billboard rankings.
