The youngest member of the boy group under PSY’s company continues to cause controversy in the international online community.
After a tough period of selection, PSY finally selected 7 best members through the survival show LOUD. However, the group’s lineup has sparked a lot of controversy because most of the members are quite young.
The final lineup includes a member named Koki who was born in 2009, which means he is only 12 years old. The inconsistency between the members has become a controversial topic among Kpop fans these days.
Recently on the occasion of Chuseok – one of the biggest holidays in Korea, the company P NATION posted a couple of selfies of Koki on the group’s social media account. With a childlike face but shaped to give off mature vibes of an idol, photos of the young male idol have caused international netizens to react extremely rigorously.
International Kpop fans are concerned when the rookie group has a member of such a young age. Many netizens claim that the Kpop entertainment industry is being too harsh and ruining the childhood of kids. Some comments even asked the company to free the young boy and wondered why his parents could let their child turn into a money-making tool of such a harsh entertainment company.
