Following successful Netflix’s original series “Squid Game”, “My Name”, “Hellbound”, and “The Silent Sea”, new Korean dramas to be released on Netflix have been organized.
All of Us Are Dead
Based on a webtoon on Naver, “All of Us Are Dead” tells the story of high school students who are stuck in their school where the zombie virus spread and those who want to save them. Yoon Chan-young, Park Ji-hoo, Yoo In-soo, and “Squid Game” actress Lee Yoo-mi will appear in this drama.
Money Heist (Korean version)
“Money Heist” is a Spanish drama that could be streamed on Netflix. It tells about a genius, known as “Professor”, who gathers 8 criminals to rob gold bars stored underground at the Royal Mint of Spain and the central bank.
Actor Yoo Ji-tae was cast to play “Professor” of the robbery team. The leader of 8 robbers Berlin will be played by actor Park Hae-soo. Actress Jeon Jong-seo was cast for Tokyo, who is set to be the narrator of the drama. Meanwhile, Kim Yun-jin and Kim Sun-oh will play members of the TF teams who chase 8 robbers and “Professor”.
“Somebody” is the first drama directed by Jung Ji-woo of movie “Eungyo”. This series depicts the story of a developer and his friends getting involved in a murder case that takes place through the social connecting app ‘Somebody’ that he developed. Actors Kim Young-kwang, Kang Hae-rim, Kim Yong-ji and Kim Soo-yeon will star in this work.
“Glitch” tells about Hong Ji-hyo meeting a community of UFO watchers then searching for her boyfriend, who disappeared with a mysterious light, and discovering the hidden truth. Actress Jeon Yeo-bin was cast for the main character role of Hong Ji-hyo.
The Bride of Black
“The Bride of Black” is a drama depicting the desires of those who dream of entering the upper-class society through marriage or remarriage.
Actor Kim Hee-sun will play the Seo Hye-seung, who lost everything in a moment when living as a middle-class housewife in Gangnam. Meanwhile, Lee Hyun-wook will take on the role of Lee Hyung-joo, the Chairman of a self-established venture company.
“Queen Maker” depicts the story of Hwang Do-hee (Kim Hee-ae), a genius in image-making and a strategic planning team’s director at a large company, jumping into the election board to make herself the mayor of Seoul after a fight with the human rights lawyer Oh Seung-sook (Moon So-ri).
