NCT 127 and NCT DREAM proved NCT’s brand power by becoming triple million sellers side by side.
NCT DREAM, which released its first full-length album in May this year, and NCT 127, which made a comeback with its third full-length album in September, are surpassing various global music charts, breaking their own best records on a roll. The performances of the two teams, which heated up the first and second half of the year, also achieved remarkable results in album sales, giving fans a double celebration of the group becoming a triple million seller with sales of more than 3 million copies each.
Earlier, NCT DREAM recorded 2,071 million copies with its first full-length album “Hot Sauce” in May and 1.279 million copies with its repackage “Hello Future” in June, ranking first in album sales in the first half of this year with cumulative sales exceeding 3.35 million copies. In addition, NCT 127 also sold 2.15 million copies of its third full-length album Sticker in September, followed by 2.46 million copies of its repackage “Favorite” in October, surpassing 3.58 million copies (as of November 7).
On top of that, the total number of album sales by NCT 127 and NCT DREAM released this year was 6.93 million, 3.2 times higher compared to the sum of album sales by the two groups released last year, which was 2.15 million (as of December 31, 2020).
NCT 127 and NCT DREAM, who have proven their strong effect and popularity by setting triple million-seller records side by side in five months, are captivating the global music market beyond Korea with their relentless activities.
