NCT 127’s winning made many people surprised because they did not know and never heard any of the group’s songs.
On October 26th, NCT 127’s “Regular” beat IU’s “BBIBBI” and brought the glorious fourth trophy to the group. This trophy caused the SM boys and fans very happy because this was their first win at a major music show broadcast.
But this victory of NCT 127 did not receive positive feedback from netizens. Many people are confused because they do not know the group, others said that because IU did not promote her new song, so NCT 127 can easily beat her on music shows:

It can be said, despite the support of many international fans, NCT is not really popular in their home country. Besides, it can’t be denied that the group’s sales revenue is showing good signs and the fandom is getting bigger. So in the future, maybe NCT will become the “main artist” of SM.
