‘Music Bank in Chile’ was canceled due to unprecedented heavy rainfall

The ‘Music Bank World Tour’ went through a rough patch immediately after their return.

KBS 2TV’s ‘Music Bank World Tour’ in Chile to be held at Estadio Monumental in Santiago at 8 p.m. on the 12th (local time), was canceled due to all-time heavy rain.

According to local officials, it rained even before the performance began, and due to the open nature of the stadium, the pouring rain could not be avoided. Nonetheless, the performance was pushed ahead by 50 thousand K-pop fans in Chile, and STAYC and THE BOYZ were welcomed to the stage. Afterwards, (G)I-DLE took over but the rain turned into hail, and eventually (G)I-DLE had to get off the stage without finishing their last song.

This performance was the first time in three years since the last ‘Music Bank World Tour’. SF9 Rowoon was selected to be the MC of the show and a series of “hot” performances featuring six K-pop namely STAYC, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, ATEEZ, (G)I-DLE, THE BOYZ, and NCT DREAM.

Notwithstanding the ongoing enthusiasm, the government decided to cancel the event, stating that no performances could be carried out during worsening local weather and weak ground foundation. Fans have already been given a local notice, and ticket refunds will be announced after discussion.
