“Broker”, which has been officially invited to compete at the 75th Cannes Film Festival, unveiled its first trailer which conveys deep lingering emotions.
The movie “Broker” is a film about the unexpected journey of those who become involved in “baby boxes”.
The trailer released today (April 19th) creates deep immersion with the beginning with a soft lullaby by So-young (Lee Ji-eun – IU), who is comforting a crying baby. Sang-hyeon (Song Kang-ho), a kind broker who makes special deals and takes the babies home from the baby boxes, and his partner Dong-soo (Kang Dong-won) appear with the phrase “Some are born, and some are abandoned” as well as the baby boxes, stimulating the viewers’ curiosity.
The detail of So-young, who left her baby in the baby box but then came back without any reason, unexpectedly joining the brokers, makes people curious about each of the characters’ stories that are hidden behind their special journey.
The scenes of detective Soo-jin (Bae Doo-na) and her junior detective played by Lee Joo-young chasing after the brokers’ special journey to wrap up a long-awaited case creates a strang tension. Meanwhile, the appearance of the brokers laughing together inside a car, which is being washed, signals a special lingering feeling in harmony with Sang-hyeon’s line “From now on, let’s be happy with us”.
The movie “Broker”, which has just introduced a teaser with deep emotions, will bring about a warm story and special synergy to the theaters in June.
